ASG-certified Galloping Horses Stamp Offered in Spink Sale

The 1978 souvenir sheet is among dozens of Chinese stamps graded by ASG that are part of a Spink auction on May 20, 2023.

Dozens of Chinese stamps that are certified by Authenticated Stamp Guaranty® (ASG®) are available in the Philatelic Collector's Series sale, which is being presented by Spink on May 20, 2023.

One of the top highlights in the sale is a China 1978 5 Yuan - Galloping Horses Souvenir Sheet graded ASG XF/Superb 95 Mint OG (lot 838) with an estimate of 20,000 to 25,000 HKD (about $2,500 to $3,200). This stamp was issued to commemorate the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac, and it features a beautiful design of six galloping horses. What makes this stamp even more special is its rarity and condition. The stamp has been graded ASG XF/Superb 95 Mint OG, which means it is in excellent condition with full original gum.
