NGC, NCS, PMG and ASG Appoint SP Advance an Official Submission Center

Posted on 5/20/2020

The well-known numismatic company in Selangor, Malaysia, has been an Authorized Dealer for the companies since 2016.

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation™ (NGC®), Numismatic Conservation Services™ (NCS®), Paper Money Guaranty™ (PMG®) and Authenticated Stamp Guaranty™ (ASG®) have appointed SP Advance SDN BHD of Selangor, Malaysia, as an Official Submission Center.

SP Advance was established in 2008 by Mr. Steven Phuah, who remains at the company’s helm. Prior to being upgraded to the status of Official Submission Center, SP Advance had been an Authorized Dealer for NGC, NCS and PMG since 2016.

As an Official Submission Center, SP Advance will provide additional services for collectors and dealers to submit coins for NGC grading and NCS conservation, notes for PMG grading and stamps for ASG grading. It will also answer questions about the companies’ services and benefits.

SP Advance, in Selangor just southwest of the capital city, Kuala Lumpur, is the companies’ second Official Submission Center in Malaysia.

The appointment of SP Advance as an Official Submission Center for the companies means improved services for the growing Malaysian market. Mr. Phuah expects to be able to return certified collectibles more quickly than before, and his knowledgeable staff can answer questions and help fill out submission forms.

“NGC and PMG have long been the favorites when it comes to third-party grading of numismatic items because of their consistency, accuracy and their ability to add value to our collectibles,” Mr. Phuah said. “We are very happy to now be in this new, closer partnership with the companies to further promote their services and their benefits to the collecting community.”

NGC, NCS, PMG and ASG are independent members within the Certified Collectibles Group™ (CCG™) of companies.

Steven R. Eichenbaum, CEO of CCG, said that elevating SP Advance’s status to Official Submission Center is another sign of CCG’s commitment to Malaysia and the entire Asia region.

“We continue to expand our services throughout the region to better serve collectors in this important and growing market,” Mr. Eichenbaum said. “SP Advance has proven itself to be a dependable partner in this effort.”

NGC is a leading third-party authentication, grading and encapsulation service for collectible coins, tokens and medals. Founded in 1987, NGC has graded more than 45 million collectibles.

NCS was established in 2001 to provide expert coin conservation services. NCS uses a variety of safe, proprietary techniques to remove harmful surface contaminants, stabilize and protect a coin’s surfaces, and improve its eye appeal. More than 1 million coins have been professionally conserved by NCS, including coins from some of the most famous collections and shipwrecks.

PMG was established in 2005 and is a leading third-party authentication, grading and encapsulation service for collectible banknotes. PMG has now graded 5 million notes.

ASG was established in 2017 to provide an accurate, consistent and impartial assessment of a stamp’s authenticity and grade. ASG has already certified approximately 100,000 stamps.

NGC-certified coins, PMG-certified notes and ASG-certified stamps are backed by each company’s guarantee of authenticity and grade, which provide consumers with greater protection. These guarantees, coupled with the knowledge and experience of the companies’ graders, give buyers greater confidence. This results in higher prices realized and greater liquidity for NGC-certified coins, PMG-certified notes and ASG-certified stamps.

Collectibles can be submitted to SP Advance at its office at 45-2, Jalan Puteri 5/20, Bandar Puteri Puchong, 47100 Puchong, Selangor.
