ASG to Accept Stamp Grading Submissions in January

Authenticated Stamp Guaranty™ (ASG™), a third-party authentication, grading and encapsulation service for collectible stamps, will begin accepting submissions in China in January 2018. ASG is the newest independent affiliate of the Certified Collectibles Group (CCG), which includes NGC, NCS, PMG, CGC and CCS.
Submissions should be made to an Official Submission Center in China. For a list, click here. All submissions will be handled by NGC Shanghai Business Information Consulting Co., Ltd., a China-based affiliate of ASG.
ASG will initially accept modern (1974 to present) paper, gold and silver Chinese stamps in the following sizes: 23 x 27 mm, 27 x 30 mm, 26 x 31 mm and 36 x 36 mm. Additional stamp sizes and types will be added later in 2018.

Submissions will be accepted from all Official Submission Centers and select Authorized Dealers. ASG will accept submissions from additional Authorized Dealers in the near future. Dealers who are interested in applying to become an ASG Authorized Dealer should contact Mateo Zhao at mzhao@ngccoin.cn for more information.
Stamps determined to be genuine by ASG are graded according to a 100-point scale, with a Gem 100 being defined as having no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification. To ensure impartiality, ASG’s graders are prohibited from buying and selling commercially and never know the identity of a stamp’s submitter. Multiple professional graders examine every stamp for consistency.
Stamps are encapsulated in a secure, tamper-evident holder made from high-quality inert materials. The ASG certification label features a description of the stamp, its ASG grade and other relevant details, as well as a unique identification number for the holdered stamp. The label also includes a distinctive image of metallic silver scales, which represent ASG's impartiality.
